Miyoshi Grasps 3rd in Class While Yanagisawa Settles for 6th
The 6th All Japan Rally season called the "48th Osaka Electro-Communication University Charity Rally in Tango" took place between August 24th - 26th, in the Tango Region in the Kyoto Prefecture.
Cusco Racing had two teams participating in this race, the 2nd overall Sumiyama / Nakahara combo (Subaru Impreza STi) and the Miyoshi / Yasui combo in the Toyota 86.
This year's Tango stage consists of wide and open tarmac roads which made it difficult even for experienced APRC drivers like Sumiyama. Trying to stay dynamic and making vehicle changes from the all gravel APRC Rally, the end result was not the best but a learning curve once again. Sumiyama finished 6th overall.

Miyoshi in the Toyota 86 managed to grasp the rhythm of these roads and finished 3rd in his class. Consistent lap times averaging in the 2nd position was trhe key for Miyoshi's success in this race, along with his veteran rally experience as the FIA Africa Rally Champion.
