Enter to the time attack series in US

 

 We must to apologize that it’s been a while since we’ve released the time attack project on May. However we want to update this project’s information here.

 Let me go back the date to let you know how we are doing regarding to this activities. We, CUSCO and TOMEI POWERED have discussed many many times to create the time attack car together….. It was really tough and long way to get there. And we reach the point to ship the car to US finally. It’s been considered together so much about the schedule for the day to develop, to build, and to test it.

 Originally, this project started as the one of our marketing promotion for the JDM market in US to appeal our names and to offer the tuning trend. CUSCO takes charge of the chassis and the suspension design and development, TOMEI POWERED takes charge of the engine design and development, and VOLTEX takes charge of the aerodynamics as the specialist.
 From our experiences of being involved to SUPER GT SERIES in Japan and ASIA PACIFIC RALLY CHAMPIONSHIP, our engineer designed and developed the car, IMPREZA (GDB-F). We choose the IMPREZA from the reason of the market needs and our item line ups. TOMEI POWERED also developing the EJ engine as one of their main stream items. Therefore both we could choose the car in a good mood.
 We have so many duties other than the time attack project, so all our staffs spending very busy days everyday. However, we’ve spent 4 months to build the car.We put everything we have, everything we want to try for this project. It was really tight and hard schedule!
 To get the good result at Buttonwillow, we tested the car a few times in Japan. Basically we build this car to feed all the data back to the end users, however the shakedown, first time to run the competition car is not that easy as usual. So all we had a huge responsibilities as feeling the big pressure in each part. We started the testing in the middle of Summer. We’ve done a really tough and strict tests, because Japanese summer climate is very high temperature and humidity. It was so complicated to test and improve 1 car by a few different companies under the tight schedule. The car had moved up and down between the 3 factories restlessly… CUSCO’s engineer and mechanic improved their skills thru this experiences.
 Our time attack car’s driver, “TARZAN” Yamada got into the car with the excitement and the tension, because the car was built the professionals of this industry. He was required such a high concentration to drive the car under the limited lap, time, and the tough climate.

 Originally we were supposed to start involving the US time attack from July, however we must to spend more time to develop the car than we’ve scheduled. So we decided to change our schedule to kick-off from the November event.
 It was really really busy days… We tried and failed to update, make faster, the car so many times for building the best car ever. We’ve done so many tests until we convince ourselves.
 We’ve tested the car until the edge of the schedule to load the car into the container to US. We’ve loaded the car into the container at the middle of September as we scheduled finally! Everybody of this project has been worked sooooo hard! to make this project attractive and successful.
 This time attack car will be displayed at the CUSCO booth of SEMA SHOW at Las Vegas. And we’ll move to SUPER LAP BATTLE FINAL at Buttonwillow right after SEMA SHOW. Our booth number is 24469.  SUPER LAP BATTLE FINAL will be held on November 12th at Buttonwillow Raceway Park. Please give us your fight! We want you to see the car, which was build by the Japanese JDM parts manufacturers, our real running at Buttonwillow. We hope we’ll see you there!

Enter to the time attack series in US
- Cross Project with TOMEI Powered -

 As known as the brand name of CUSCO, CARROSSER Co., Ltd. decides to compete at some rounds of this season’s Super Lap Battle and Redline Time Attack Series for their sales promotion project in US.

 To Accelerate our after market business and propose our own tuning style to the end-users in US, we build the time attack car at Japan, with the one of the most famous and historical engine builder, TOMEI Powered. The time attack car will leave Japan soon, and will enter to the time attack series of above.

 The time attack series has been warmed up year after year as the one of the mainstream contents of JDM market in US. Due to our overseas strategy fits to the TOMEI’s, we decided to push forward this project. Designing and building the chassis, CARROSSER. Designing and building the engine, TOMEI.
