CUSCORACING enter to APRC/New Cups with three
Dean Herridge is newly appointed with the team
 

Japanese Motorsport Part Manufacturer Carrosser announced that its motorsport works team, CUSCO RACING will tackle with FIA Asia-Pacific Rally Championship(=APRC) in 2008 continually.

CUSCO RACING had started to enter rally competition internationally since 2004.> Through limited attending to APRC or FIA World Rally Championship (=WRC), the team fully competed to APRC from 2006. Driver Hiroshi Yanagisawa and Co-driver Tadashi Misaizu finished runner up in the series this season

This season will be third season as full competing with APRC for the team with enhancing its drivers line up. Ace driver Hiroshi Yanagisawa is teaming up with Yuya Sumiyama who had been competing Japanese Rally Championship. Additionally Austrian Dean Herridge will join the team as the first driver who the team welcomed from overseas.

For 2008, in addition with main series, APRC had approval to establish new concept series, Asia-cup/Oceania Cup that are aiming for get more participants effectively with lower cost. CUSCO RACING will register Yanagisawa to main series with 6 events, and register Sumiyama to Asia-cup with 3 events, Herridge to Oceania-cup with 3 events respectively. All three drivers will use final version of Subaru Impreza WRX STI(GDB) , type G.
